GIVE THANKS!

Dear ALCF Bay Area Family:

Thanksgiving, for the believer, is an opportunity to express our faith in God. It is a time to acknowledge the blessings He has given us—His provision of life, breath, and strength—and to give thanks for the Gospel and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we are saved.

And what better way to show our gratitude for these blessings than by extending generosity to others in need? As we prepare to gather with family and friends, my heart is especially mindful of those who have no warm and inviting place to sit and enjoy a Thanksgiving spread.

My prayer is that, this year, we would add a little extra to the pot and set an extra place at the table. Let us not only wish each other "Happy Thanksgiving," but live it out the way Jesus taught in the parable: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Blessings to you and your families,
Jason

SUNDAY WORSHIP CELEBRATION
November 30 | In-person or Virtual | 10–11:30AM

Join us this Sunday, November 30, at 10AM, for our in-person or virtual, Sunday Worship Celebration where Pastor Valarie Saunders continues our message series, "The Souls Of Advent," that explores five biblical settings where people experienced and witnessed the events that surrounded the arrival of Jesus Christ. This week, we focus on “The Calling” based on Luke 1:39–55. As we reflect on this season of Advent, may we experience God's love, peace, joy, and hope in a fresh and meaningful way.

2025 BIBLE READING PLANS

There's no better way to begin the year than starting a new Bible reading plan! Whether you're seasoned in your study of the Word or a novice who doesn't know where to begin, we have two options to select from below.

Here are some suggestions as to how to make regular Bible reading a meaningful part of our lives:

  1. Schedule it

  2. Have a plan

  3. Answer three questions after each reading:

    • What is this about?

    • What does it mean?

    • What is God saying to me?

  4. Don’t get discouraged if you drop off. Just pick up where you left off!
