Group Leadership
Growth Groups include Bible study, fellowship, and honest, open, and transparent conversation between a gathering of 6-12 people. Group Leaders are shepherds.
Expectations
Leaders are called to:
Investment: leaders commit to understanding, supporting, and spiritually feeding the people in their group (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Growth: leaders build a tightly-knit community and grow new leaders from within their group (Matthew 28:19).
Prayer: leaders dedicate time to praying over their members publicly and privately (John 17).
Spiritual Maturity: leaders' lives demonstrate a genuine and growing faith in Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:5-8).
Covenant Partnership: leaders are Covenant Partners of our church (1 Peter 4:10-11).
Commitment
Growth Groups meet on a regular basis (i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, twice-monthly) at a home or at the church. Leaders are not required to host in their own homes and may have co-leads that provide space and hospitality.
